After an amazing 2025 season with 425 campers, we’re thrilled to offer another summer of adventure! Specific session dates will be posted here on January 1, 2026. Our three-day camps will run Sunday–Tuesday, from mid-June through mid-August.

What’s New for 2026

  • North Umpqua Sessions – new trips in Oregon’s stunning canyon country
  • Return to Earthtrek Campground – our home base for most sessions
  • DIY Session – a simple, private-camp experience for budget-friendly adventurers

Stay tuned for registration details and updates right here!

Hello Junior Guides Families and Friends!  By popular demand, we will increase the number of sessions from 2025.
(Over 100 people signed up on our WaitList last year)

HOW TO REGISTER
Returning?
Returning group registration opens February 20, at 7pm. A returning group must have more than one family and each family must have one or more children, AND a Group Leader needs to register.
If you are a returning family that wants to add a new family to your 'group,' the new family can join or make your group by making a $100 donation to our scholarship fund, which can be done at the juniorguides.org DONATE tab or within the Group registration form.

NEW TO JG?
Click on the link above wiht the date you prefer and follow the directions.

We have upgraded our registration forms for faster completion; some data repopulates, and you can leave form fields blank in order to get to the payment portion quicker. After securing the spots with payment, you can return to the form to completely fill in your child's health data, birth date, etc.  Registration links will be date-specific, sent out ahead of time, so carefully choose. If you accidentally select the wrong date, I can't guarantee you will get your preferred date, as it may have filled by the time we are able to remedy it.

You can register on a phone, tablet or computer this year.

2025 Camper tuition is $525. The small cost increase reflects inflation, rising food costs, and ensures the highest degree of safety from our new Select Partner, Mother Lode Raft Company.

Information collected as part of registration: your child's birthdate, age, grade level, allergies, special needs, self-reported medical conditions, contact info, photo release and waivers.

Full payment is required at the time of registration; reach out to inquire about payment plans. Payment is accepted via paypal or credit card. Thanks to generous donors, 10 scholarships will be awarded this year. Scholarship awards of $425 are only for Otter age campers (ages 10-16). Tuition monies often qualify as daycare expenses, check with your tax consultant. check out our Scholarships, and  Camp Counselor Program.

Exciting updates 2025:
  •  NEW this year, teen Camp Counselors will paddle along with the Ducks to join in the fun! Its hard to say if the Teens or the Ducks will enjoy this more, as the fun factor is high with the Ducks program. CampCounselors will support and make Duck craft projects, bob along on swims, model paddling strokes, get a special gift from the Senior Guides, and a certificate confirming 24 hours of volunteering with JGRC, a non profit.

  • Two Day Camp- We had 18 campers participate in this last year, and we expect it will be popular again this year. Shorter camp means less cost, and it fits those tight schedules many families have. Expect the same good on river programming, education and swimming experiences as our traditional 3 day camp, but compact. This will be available for both Ducks and Otter age campers. The cost of this two day camp is $325 per camper.

  • We have transformed our Parent Team Lead from last year into EddyWatcher Lifeguard jobs, which also come with a tuition reduction, yet are more specific to our new Campsite since the river is a little more rowdy at Mother Lode.! Additionally, parents are needed in many ways to chip in; after all, camp is what YOU make it! Parents are invited to assist with evening programs: perhaps host a RiverSideAdventureRace Station, play music or support a kiddo skit at our evening program, sell merchandise, encourage hydration and supervise campus wide tag games.

  • This years In-Camp evening activity is "AmericanRiverSide Eco-Challenge Adventure Race." On the first night of camp, about 7pm, the kick off happens at the main stage. There, campers wil be placed into small groups, and when the timer goes off, teams will compete for the title! Stations might include things like rock toss, water related team song recital, backwards wade through shallow water, etc. If your camper likes costumes, you might consider colored bandannas, forehead and wrist sweat bands!?  This year, older Otter campers can earn a merit award -and praise- for leading one of these teams.

Our River Tribe grows through word of mouth, please share JuniorGuides with other fantastic families.
