CAMPING IS A FAMILY AFFAIR WITH JUNIOR GUIDES!
One aspect that makes Junior Guides Raft Camp so unique is family camping. JG Families come from watersheds all across the states, and they make new friends here among like-minded folks. While kids are having the time of their lives during the day, adults are free to boat, read in a lounge chair, go wine tasting, or inner tube. Many rafting parents recruit paddlers for their own day trips. No guarantees, but you could find yourself heading downriver with parents and former professional guides!
(Look for a link for camping reservations on the "Thank you" confirmation page when you register for Junior Guides and in follow-up emails.)
In the evenings, parents and kids are reunited and organized group activities occupy our time. One night might be a themed DANCE PARTY, one night kid-led skit night, and the last night, Tuesday, we host a slide show and closing ceremony before camp is over.

Interested families can again join the majority of Junior Guides campers at Earthtrek Campground. Earthtrek has fabulous facilities; clean bathrooms with electricity, river-front access with put-ins and take-outs, grass for tent camping but also bunkhouse options, parking, shaded dining, and a central location within walking distance of a bakery and the famous Coloma Club.
Our campground is not a good location for bikes or scooters.
But bring frisbees, footballs, and cornhole!
Is that the chow chime? Camp food is hearty, delicious, and popular!
Camping at Earthtrek also means healthy, hearty dinners and breakfasts are provided without the hassle of cooking and hauling a kitchen. Our hosts, the Ashburn Family, are wonderful chefs! (Earthtrek does not allow individuals to prepare food onsite.) When the chow bell chimes, Earthtrek food is plentiful, delicious, and wholesome. Most special food requests are accommodated. The meal plan price is oh so reasonable. Lemonade and coffee are provided. Adult and specialty drinks aren't included; please feel free to bring your own. With environmental considerations in mind, our hosts encourage you to bring your own drinking cups.
Evening raft camp activities are free to locals who will not be camping with us.
