Junior Guides isn’t just another kids rafting program- — it’s the original. We pioneered the model over 16 years ago and have continuously refined it using feedback from thousands of campers and families. Every detail exists because it works.

What sets us apart: We’re mission‑driven, not profit‑driven. Junior Guides is a nonprofit. There are no investors, no shortcuts, and no competing priorities — just an unwavering focus on kids.

We’re guided by parents. Our seven‑member board is made entirely of parents who help steer decisions with children’s needs, safety, and growth at the center.
We choose the best — every time. We’re not tied to one rafting company, which means we hire the best outfitter for each river and each group.

Leadership that shows up. Program Director Sarah, a retired teacher, works every camp and brings heart, experience, and hands‑on leadership to every session.

A true family community. Junior Guides Raft Camp includes families and evening programming — including our legendary skit night — where parents and kids recreate together and friendships form naturally.

Exceptional campers and families. Our community is made up of active, engaged families who value outdoor adventure, teamwork, and learning. Parents and kids alike elevate the experience.

Growth beyond the boat. From carabiner merit awards and pre‑camp video learning to teen Camp Counselor programs, we intentionally build leadership, confidence, and teamwork.
